Singing for Dementia Performance from Glasgow

"Throughout lockdown we have enjoyed our collaboration with artists from Live Music Now Scotland as part of our Singing for Dementia programme. We have continued to connect with the community around us in Fife and St Andrews with grateful thanks to the Robertson Trust for their support. We cannot wait for the day when we can be in the room in person at Hope Park and Martyr's Church singing together but until then we connect through the wonders of technology."

Amanda, Festival Director

This digital series was created by LMNS Artists Voice and Verse for our Dementia Singing Group earlier this year.

VOICE AND VERSE

Laura and Kristine are an energetic, lively, and engaging classical soprano and piano duo and have been working together as a duo since 2013. The duo are very passionate about using their talents to enhance the lives of people who can often be isolated from hearing live classical music and are very grateful for the beneficial work they have received from Live Music Now Northern Ireland and Scotland to date.

On top of this work, the girls have also given recitals at many prestigious venues such as St. Anne’s Cathedral, the Ulster Museum, Belfast, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the Usher Hal, Edinburgh, and the National Gallery of Scotland and in 2016-2017 they were selected to be the artist’s in residence with Creative Centenaries, Belfast.
