Laidlaw Live: Voces8
Tue 22 June, 7.00pm
LIVE from Laidlaw Music Centre

"In collaboration with University of St Andrews, University of St Andrews Music Centre, and St Andrews Music Club, on the 22nd June we will be singing from the rooftops as we welcome vocal ensemble Voces8 to town for a busy few days of workshops and performances! The whole Voces8 family share our ethos of inspiring people through the joy of singing, and we are delighted that the group will work with student acapella singers, young composers, and also our Singing for Lung Health participants, as well as presenting a free to view, live stream performance from the new McPherson Recital Room.
Clear your diaries, tell your friends, join us! #SingingStAndrews"

The British vocal ensemble VOCES8 is proud to inspire people through music and share the joy of singing. Touring globally, the group performs an extensive repertory both in its a cappella concerts and in collaborations with leading orchestras, composers and soloists. In a busy 2020-2021 season it will start to give concerts around the world again, release an album with Decca Classics, and publish sheet music with Edition Peters. It also launches 2 exciting initiatives: the ground-breaking online global festival ‘LIVE From London’ from its home at the VOCES8 Centre, and the VOCES8 Digital Academy – an online choral programme featuring live interaction and video resources for choirs around the world. The ensemble is proud to be working with its Composer in Residence Roxanna Panufnik, and Arranger in residence Jim Clements. VOCES8 is passionate about music education and is the flagship ensemble of its music charity the VOCES8 Foundation.
